“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.” -Hebrews 10:25
The writer of Hebrews is reminding us here of the importance of Christian fellowship...at Mission Valley Christian Fellowship there’s lots of opportunity for that, after all, it is half of our name! Our model for that is found in the second chapter of the book of Acts. There, the early believers got together to listen to the apostles teaching, to fellowship, to take communion, and to pray. When they did this, the Bible says that “each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
So that’s our model at MVCF for all of our worship services and small group Bible studies. We even do it like this when we take it on the road and have a boat day and bonfire down at the beach. So make sure, whatever service you join us for, that you bring your Bible!
